Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van calls for clearer vision for Nhon Hoi Economic Zone
Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van has called for a clearer development orientation, updated forecasts and a review of land-use plans as authorities finalize revisions to the master plan for Nhon Hoi Economic Zone through 2050.
On June 26, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired an appraisal meeting on the adjustment of the master plan for Nhon Hoi Economic Zone in Gia Lai Province through 2050.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the appraisal meeting on the revised master plan for Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.
The revised master plan covers approximately 14,308 hectares, consistent with the planning boundary approved by the Prime Minister in 2019. The planning horizon extends to 2035 in the medium term and 2050 in the long term.
Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Minister said the revised plan generally complies with the planning tasks approved by the Prime Minister. It also reflects Gia Lai Province’s new development context following administrative restructuring, updates investment conditions and proposes a new development model.
The appraisal council agreed to submit the plan to the Prime Minister for approval after necessary revisions are completed.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van requested local authorities to incorporate comments from the meeting, clarify key changes compared with the 2019 master plan, review the political and legal basis for the adjustment, and ensure compliance with current regulations.
He also called for a more comprehensive assessment of the economic zone’s development status, clearer development orientation and spatial organization, updated population and land-use forecasts, a well-defined strategy for expanding the zone’s core area, and a review of land designated for national defense and security purposes.
