Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung inspects construction progress on the Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway and urges solutions to remaining site obstacles.

At the construction site, the Deputy Minister acknowledged the efforts of Project Management Board 85 and contractors, noting that most components have followed the Government’s and the Ministry of Construction’s instructions on progress and quality control.

He stressed that daily supervision must be maintained, and any unit that lacks sufficient personnel or equipment must immediately report for timely adjustment. "Delays are not acceptable. Every task—including the smallest details—must be tightly controlled," he emphasized.

A 2.8-km section managed by Truong Son Construction Corporation, which passes through natural forest, remains behind schedule due to prolonged forest-land conversion procedures and unfavorable weather. Deputy Minister Hung requested additional measures to compensate for lost progress.

Contractors were urged to deploy maximum manpower, work in shifts, and take advantage of favorable weather to accelerate construction and meet the required timeline.

He added that the Ministry of Construction has issued multiple directives, including official documents, urgent notices, and continuous field inspections. Teams from the State Authority for Construction Quality Inspection and the Department of Economics and Construction Investment Management are regularly monitoring the project, requiring strict compliance with both progress and quality standards.
