Leading Chinese expressway group seeks cooperation on transport infrastructure projects

On the morning of September 25, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh received and held talks with Wang Qifeng, Chairman of Shandong Hi-Speed Group (China), to discuss potential cooperation in construction and transport infrastructure projects.

During the meeting, Chairman Wang Qifeng expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and conveyed the Group’s desire to participate in infrastructure and transport projects in Vietnam, contributing to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Tran Hong Minh and Party Secretary of Shandong Expressway Corporation Wang Qifeng discussed possible cooperation opportunities in the field of transport infrastructure.

Minister Tran Hong Minh congratulated Shandong Hi-Speed Group on its remarkable achievements over the years and praised its participation in Vietnam through projects such as the Hanoi–Hai Phong Expressway, the Da Nang–Quang Ngai Expressway, and An Duong Industrial Park infrastructure in Hai Phong, recognizing their encouraging initial results.

Affirming the great potential for bilateral cooperation, the Minister expressed confidence that with its experience, capabilities, and resources, especially based on the recently signed strategic cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Railway Construction Corporation (RCC), Shandong Hi-Speed Group can further expand investment in Vietnam’s key infrastructure projects.

"The Ministry of Construction always supports and facilitates capable Chinese enterprises, including Shandong Hi-Speed Group, to participate in the development of urban infrastructure, transportation, and other major projects in Vietnam", Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized.
