According to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Unit, construction has commenced on all six road and bridge contract packages covering the 77km section through the province. However, work on the lighting system package has yet to begin. On-site, over 114 construction teams and nearly 1.058 machines are currently in operation. As of now, approximately 41% of the total contract value has been completed.
Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized the importance of synchronizing the entire expressway and requested the province to expedite preparations for the remaining 64,5km section within Tuyen Quang. He also urged the swift initiation of investment procedures for the segment extending from Tan Quang to the Thanh Thuy international border gate, which plays a key role in regional connectivity.
During the visit, Minister Tran Hong Minh, together with provincial leaders, met with contractors and construction workers, presented gifts, and encouraged all parties to stay committed and overcome challenges to complete the project on schedule. The expressway is expected to significantly enhance regional transport capacity and contribute to socio-economic development in the northern mountainous region.
