Minister Tran Hong Minh, MCC Vice Chairman discuss infrastructure cooperation

On May 20, Minister Tran Hong Minh met with MCC Vice Chairman Zhu Guangxie to strengthen cooperation in urban infrastructure, transport, energy, and irrigation, aiming to boost Vietnam–China strategic partnership and investment opportunities.

Welcoming Mr. Zhu and the visiting MCC delegation, Minister Minh emphasized the growing strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, which continues to expand across multiple sectors, including construction and transport.

The Minister highlighted that the Ministry of Construction maintains regular collaboration with China’s Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Joint activities such as policy dialogues, technical workshops, staff training, and delegation exchanges have contributed significantly to mutual understanding and professional development.

During the meeting, Vice Chairman Zhu expressed MCC’s interest in strengthening its engagement in Vietnam’s infrastructure sector. He proposed potential areas for cooperation, including expressways, railways, seaports, airports, and energy and irrigation facilities. He also shared MCC’s experience in project management and introduced advanced financial and technological models that could support Vietnam’s development goals.
