Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh called for timely public investment disbursement.

Speaking at the Ministry of Construction’s April review conference and the deployment of key tasks for May on May 8, Minister Tran Hong Minh acknowledged the positive results achieved by agencies and units over the past month.

He said directives from Party and Government leaders, as well as ministry leadership, had been implemented in a practical and disciplined manner, helping improve management efficiency and work quality.

Regarding upcoming tasks, the minister requested project investors to direct contractors to complete all remaining work and put the Chi Thanh – Van Phong and Quy Nhon – Chi Thanh expressways into synchronized operation by May 19, 2026.

According to the minister, the completion of these sections will help ensure uninterrupted traffic connectivity along the North–South Expressway from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City.

He also emphasized that all newly operational expressways must be integrated into the national electronic toll collection system in line with National Assembly resolutions.

To accelerate public investment disbursement, Minister Tran Hong Minh instructed investors of delayed projects to immediately assign capable personnel to coordinate with relevant agencies and resolve on-site bottlenecks.

He urged contractors and investors to speed up construction progress, complete payment procedures on schedule and strictly comply with legal regulations.

"The Ministry of Construction will establish inspection teams to review legal procedures and documentation for newly completed and ongoing projects," the minister said.

He added that science and technology development, institutional reform, urban development and the real estate sector would continue to remain key priorities of the ministry in the coming period.
