During the visit, the Deputy Minister commended the Vietnam Railways Corporation and frontline workers for their timely response to landslides and infrastructure damage. He emphasized that the rapid deployment of manpower and machinery helped restore many sections within a short period, meeting the urgent requirement of reopening the national railway artery.
The Deputy Minister also acknowledged the proactive efforts of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company, which mobilized maximum resources for repair work and conducted early load-testing runs. These efforts, he noted, contributed significantly to accelerating the goal of fully restoring North–South railway operations.
At the end of the inspection, Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy and the working delegation agreed on a plan to allocate funding for the repair and rehabilitation of flood-damaged locations to ensure operational safety and long-term stability.
According to on-site reports, most of the North–South railway has been reopened. The remaining disrupted section between Van Gia Station (Khanh Hoa) and Tuy Hoa Station (Dak Lak) is undergoing urgent repairs and is expected to be fully restored by the end of this week or early next week.
