(Construction) - Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy called on Project Management Board 2 to swiftly propose a development strategy that aligns with the broader trends of the industry. He emphasised the need for the board to be capable of undertaking challenging tasks and managing new, large-scale projects.
On morning (January 4), Project Management Board 2 held a conference to review its work in 2024 and outline tasks for 2025.

Acknowledging and congratulating the leadership, officers, civil servants, and employees of Project Management Board 2 for their achievements, Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy highlighted that, over the past period, the unit has ensured steady progress in its work.
In assigning tasks for the future, the Deputy Minister urged Project Management Board 2 and other project management boards to continue focusing on determining construction costs and ensuring the quality of bidding documents in compliance with legal regulations.
According to the Deputy Minister, the workload in the railway sector will be enormous in the near future, with major projects such as the high-speed railway, which is 2.5 times longer and involves total investment several times higher than the North-South expressway project in the East. Additionally, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong project, valued at around 8 billion USD, and the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau railway are significant undertakings.
“How will the Board adapt to these challenges? There must be a strategic vision to determine what Project Management Board 2 will focus on over the next five years. How will these tasks be carried out? What needs to be prepared? The issue of human resources also requires a clear training roadmap” the Deputy Minister emphasised.

Expressing gratitude for the attention and close guidance from the Ministry of Transport\'s leadership, Mr. Le Thang affirmed that, in the coming period, the Board will develop a clear and practical development plan to adapt to the new situation, ensuring the livelihoods and income for workers.
In 2025, the immediate priority for the Board will be to coordinate with relevant entities to accelerate the progress of several key projects, bringing them to completion. These include: the rest stop and expressway ITS project on the QL45 - Nghi Son section; the project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways, Phase 1; and the North-South Expressway, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section.
At the conference, on behalf of the Minister, Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy presented certificates of merit from the Minister of Transport to a collective, Lizen Joint Stock Company, and three individuals who have made significant contributions to the emulation movement "Promoting the Development of Synchronous and Modern Transport Infrastructure, Practicing Thrift, and Combating Waste" for the North-South Expressway project, QL45 - Nghi Son section.
