(Construction) – On July 27, the Ministry of Construction held a conference to appraise the general planning tasks of Long Thanh urban area, Dong Nai province until 2045. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the conference.

Basically, the members of the Appraisal Council highly agreed with the content of the general planning tasks of urban planning in Long Thanh, Dong Nai province until 2045. However, the members also contributed some additional ideas to suggest consultancy and local units for supplement the documents.

Overview of the Conference

On behalf of the leaders of Dong Nai province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People\'s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang said that the province and consultancy units will continue to study and clarify based on the suggested opinions from members of the Appraisal Council. Dong Nai Province will actively coordinate with the consultants to complete the contents of the Planning Tasks.

Speaking at the conclusion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van suggested that Dong Nai province should supplement some contents. Accordingly, the province should re-evaluate the current situation of industry, population, future development orientation; clarify the need for planning. Regarding urban areas, the reasonable space should be arranged and the implemenation should be reviewed.

At the same time, the province should review, calculate and forecast population size and land size accordingly; pay attention to and review urban areas within the scope of planning, especially in assessing the current situation and progress of project implementation; analyze and keep land fund for planning implementation; clearly identify important transport connections; clarify the development stages to invest plans and associate with the formation of Long Thanh airport...

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van suggested the People\'s Committee of Dong Nai province to direct the consultancy unit to fully review the comments of the Council members, soon complete the documents to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
