At the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway project site, Minister Minh urged all contractors to intensify their efforts, emphasizing that the target to technically open the main route and bridges by December 19 is non-negotiable.

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh issues instructions to contractors during his inspection of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway construction site in Dong Nai Province.

"Component 1 and Component 2 must reach 100% completion on schedule. This is a firm commitment", he stated.

Despite persistent rainfall in the region, Minister Minh instructed project stakeholders to mobilize maximum resources, increase manpower and equipment, and maintain round-the-clock operations with three shifts and four crews working continuously.

"Construction must be accelerated regardless of adverse weather conditions. Once the crushed stone layer is completed, asphalt paving must begin immediately to stay on track for the next construction phases", the Minister emphasized.

He also called on Truong Son Corporation, the main contractor, to deploy additional personnel and fully utilize every dry hour during the rainy season to prevent delays.

Following the expressway inspection, the delegation proceeded to the Long Thanh International Airport project. At the construction site of Runway No. 1 and Package 4.7 – Aircraft Apron 1, Minister Minh checked on progress, encouraged workers, and distributed gifts to boost morale.

Workers carry out roadbed construction on the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway despite rainy conditions, as part of efforts to meet the December deadline.

He reiterated the importance of on-site supervision, urging all project units to resolve any issues directly and immediately at the construction location.

"In this critical phase, every obstacle must be addressed on the spot to ensure seamless progress. Weather challenges must be overcome, but quality cannot be compromised", he directed.

The Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway and Long Thanh Airport are among the key national projects expected to significantly boost regional connectivity and economic development. The Ministry of Construction pledged to closely monitor these projects and provide support to ensure all goals are met as planned.
