Inspecting the Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, Minister Tran Hong Minh noted significant improvements and positive developments at the construction site. |
At the intersection with the Van Phong – Nha Trang Expressway, Minister Tran Hong Minh acknowledged the efforts of the investor and contractor in overcoming construction challenges and accelerating the project progress. In particular, despite recent adverse weather conditions, the site has shown marked improvement and encouraging progress.
With remaining site clearance issues along the route causing interruptions to construction, Minister Tran Hong Minh urged Khanh Hoa Province to take decisive action in the spirit of “for the benefit of the nation and the people”, and to promptly clear the site to open up access roads to the project. He emphasised that this would create favourable conditions for the contractor to complete the works and help ensure the expressway is brought into full operation.
Reporting to the Minister, Director of Project Management Board 6, Tran Huu Hai (the investor of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway project) explained that, in addition to the challenges posed by adverse weather and difficult ground conditions, the project geology is complex. The construction terrain of the majority of the main route from Khanh Hoa to Đak Lak passes through rugged mountains and forests, with forest land needing to be converted.
After listening to the reports from the units, Minister Tran Hong Minh instructed the investor and contractor of Component Project 1 to make the most of the available land, develop a detailed construction plan, and arrange reasonable construction points to optimise each task. The main focus should be on accelerating the construction of bridges, roadbeds, and other key infrastructure.
The construction units are to focus all resources, mobilise maximum human resources, equipment, and finances to organise construction, especially for the critical path items of the project. Work should proceed with the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 teams" to ensure progress. Construction should begin immediately wherever the site is ready. "We all recognise the difficulties, but overcoming them to achieve remarkable results is what truly matters" the Minister emphasised.
