The development will comprise two buildings with a total floor area of approximately 700,000 square meters. The project aims to enhance delivery efficiency and address the acute labor shortage facing the logistics industry. The design and construction contractors have yet to be determined. The eastern building is scheduled to break ground in autumn 2027 and be completed around 2030, while the western building is slated to begin construction in 2028 and finish around 2031.

Rendering of the planned next-generation logistics hub in Yokohama.
The site, covering about 220,000 square meters, straddles Seya and Asahi wards in the northern section of the former Kamiseya Communication Facility area. Under the Yokohama municipal government’s land use plan, the area is designated as a new, efficient logistics hub that leverages its proximity to major arterial routes, including the Tomei Expressway. Mitsubishi Estate has participated in the Former Kamiseya Communication Facility Urban Development Council as a partner in examining logistics district development.
According to the development plan, the logistics facilities will be directly linked to the planned Tomei Interchange through a dedicated ramp. This will enable next-generation obility such as double-trailer trucks and autonomous trucks to access the expressway directly. The project will also contribute to strengthening the functions of a "wide-area disaster prevention base" that the city intends to establish within the district. The facilitiesare planned to operate as multi-tenant logistics centers.
