The ministry is handling operations in the inland areas, while the Self-Defense Forces, arriving by sea, are addressing points where the road is severed, completing emergency repairs in approximately half of the affected sections. As of the 11th, aerial routes have also been utilized, with the dispatch of the Tech Force (Technical Emergency Control Team) conducting on-site assessments via helicopter.

In relation to airports, the operating hours of Noto Airport have been extended from 11 hours and 30 minutes to 18 hours since the 10th, allowing for an increase in the number of landings and take-offs for rescue helicopters. With support from the Tech Force, temporary repairs to the runway have also been completed. As of the 11th, landings and take-offs of Self-Defense Force transport planes became possible.

The number of occurrences of landslides stands at 64 as of 6:00 am on the 11th. Regarding house damage caused by landslides, there are 16 completely destroyed, 2 partially destroyed, and 2 with minor damage. As of the same time, sewage facilities, including 6 sewage treatment plants and 4 pump stations, have ceased operations.

The ministry held its 9th disaster response headquarters meeting on the 11th. Minister Tetsuo Saito stated, "For the further improvement of logistics and the restoration of lifelines, the early recovery of all transportation routes—by land, sea, and air—is crucial. While ensuring the well-being and safety management of personnel on site, I urge the full deployment of the ministry\'s capabilities." (2024/01/12)
