On May 15^th, Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung led the Ministry of Construction’s inspection delegation at the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway construction site of North - South Expressway.

"After two months since the last inspection, the site has shown significant changes. This demonstrates the great efforts of investors, contractors and supervising consultants". He said and requested the related units to stay focused and strive to ensure the progress, utilize "3 shifts, 4 crews" as directed by the Prime Minister.

The Deputy Minister emphasized: We must move forward with no backtracking, as the timeline has been finalized. Investors must always follow the situation at the construction site to make sure that the route can be open to traffic before August 19^th.

Many sections of the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway have been paved, ahead of schedule.

"The investor must notice the disbursement of the project’s capital, ensure that contractors have enough resources for implementation, Good control of construction quality, not trading quality for progress", Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung stressed.

Regarding the fact that some contractors are not following required progress, The Deputy Minister requested that Project Management Unit 85 consider transferring the workload to the contractor to do better to ensure the project finishes on schedule.
