The Deputy Minister commended Hung Yen’s initial efforts in preparing land and identifying potential sites. However, he emphasized that the 2030 target of developing 42,500 social housing units remains a major challenge that requires stronger coordination and accelerated implementation.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh inspects a social housing project in My Hao, Hung Yen, urging faster land allocation and project implementation.
“Hung Yen must finalize its plans, reserve sufficient land funds, and quickly launch qualified social housing projects”, Deputy Minister Sinh stated.
According to the province’s plan, from 2022 to 2025, approximately 13,100 social housing units are expected to be developed. The number will rise to 29,400 units in the 2026–2030 period, bringing the total to over 42,500 units by the end of the decade.
The delegation visited several key project sites and held discussions with provincial authorities and investors. Deputy Minister Sinh called for streamlined administrative procedures, early selection of capable investors, and stronger inter-agency coordination to prevent delays.
“This is not just a political commitment. It is a responsibility to ensure decent housing for low-income groups and workers”, he added.
The Ministry of Construction affirmed its continued support for Hung Yen in land planning, legal frameworks, and technical guidance to help the province meet national targets under the Government’s program to build at least one million social housing units by 2030.
