On February 4, at the Ministry of Construction, Nguyen Tuong Van, Deputy Minister of Construction, received and held a working session with Mr. Philipp Rösler, Chairman of the Swiss–Vietnam Economic Forum and Honorary Consul of Vietnam in the Swiss cantons of Zurich and Zug.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van welcomed the delegation and emphasized the Ministry of Construction’s strong interest in promoting cooperation with European countries, particularly Switzerland, Germany and Luxembourg, in the fields of construction and transport.
He noted that the meeting took place at a significant time as Vietnam has entered a new stage of development following the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Ministry of Construction currently performs state management functions in housing, construction activities, planning, urban development and five modes of transport, including aviation, road, railway, maritime and inland waterways.
The Deputy Minister also highlighted the Ministry’s role in promoting international cooperation, applying science and technology, and coordinating closely with relevant ministries, sectors and localities to ensure the synchronized and efficient development of national construction and transport infrastructure.

For his part, Mr. Philipp Rösler expressed appreciation for the warm reception from the Ministry of Construction and affirmed the strong interest of Swiss and European enterprises in Vietnam’s construction and transport sectors, as well as the country’s long-term socio-economic development.
He highly praised Vietnam’s rapid infrastructure development despite global challenges, describing it as evidence of the country’s strategic vision and determination to achieve sustainable and high-quality growth in the coming years.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue strengthening information exchange and promoting cooperation in construction and transport, contributing to enhanced bilateral relations and sustainable development.
