Minister Tran Hong Minh orders Quy Nhon–Chi Thanh Expressway main lane to open by Jan 31

On January 12, during a field inspection of key transport infrastructure projects in central Viet Nam, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh and a working delegation inspected sections of the Quy Nhon–Chi Thanh Expressway passing through Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces.

The Minister ordered contractors to further intensify construction efforts, mobilize additional manpower and equipment, and ensure that the main carriageway of the expressway is completed and opened to traffic before January 31.

After inspecting the entire route, he noted that Package 11XL was largely on schedule. However, at Packages 12XL and 13XL, several sections remain unfinished, with some contractors failing to deploy sufficient manpower and machinery, showing signs of complacency.

"The remaining workload is not large, but contractors must stay focused and act decisively, without any negligence at this critical finishing stage," the Minister stressed.

He also requested the project owner to identify underperforming and slow contractors for appropriate handling, setting a firm on-site deadline for the completion and opening of the main carriageway before January 31.
