Minister Tran Hong Minh pushes faster work to open key Bien Hoa–Vung Tau sections by Tet

On January 10, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh led a delegation to inspect the construction progress of the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway section running through Dong Nai Province.

During the site visit, the minister acknowledged the efforts of contractors and noted that overall progress generally meets requirements. However, he stressed the need to further accelerate construction so that the Dong Nai section—critical for connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Long Thanh International Airport—can be put into operation before the Lunar New Year.

He requested synchronized and scientific construction methods, ensuring quality, aesthetics, and traffic safety. Contractors were instructed to mobilize maximum machinery, equipment, and manpower, and proactively supplement resources to complete remaining workloads.

"All units must work faster, but quality must never be compromised. No incidents are allowed when the project is put into operation," the minister emphasized.

He also called on engineers and workers to maintain the "three shifts, four crews" spirit to ensure both progress and strict quality control.

Once completed, the expressway is expected to facilitate smoother and safer travel during the Lunar New Year peak, especially for commuters between Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and eastern coastal provinces.
