Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh inspects the expansion project of the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway.
During the working visit, the minister reviewed construction activities on several sections of Ring Road 3 and listened to reports from local authorities, project investors and contractors on the progress of implementation, site clearance and the supply of construction materials.
According to Ho Chi Minh City officials, the Ring Road 3 project is being implemented simultaneously across multiple sections with efforts to ensure progress in line with the Government’s targets. The route is expected to play a strategic role in easing traffic congestion, improving interregional connectivity and supporting socio-economic development in the southern key economic region.
Regarding the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, the project aims to address rapidly growing traffic demand along one of the country’s busiest expressway corridors connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai Province and the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport.
Speaking at the site, Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized that the projects are of great importance to the national transport network and to the development of the southern region. He urged relevant agencies, investors and contractors to accelerate construction progress while ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards.
The minister also called for close coordination between ministries, local authorities and project stakeholders to promptly address challenges related to site clearance, construction materials and technical procedures.
"Construction units must uphold responsibility and mobilize sufficient resources to ensure progress while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety," the minister said.
Minister Tran Hong Minh further requested that project management boards strengthen supervision and improve coordination among contractors to ensure the projects are implemented efficiently and completed on schedule.
Once completed, Ring Road 3 and the upgraded Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway are expected to significantly improve transport capacity, reduce travel time and create new momentum for economic development across southern Vietnam.
