During an inspection on April 9, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh called on local authorities and investors in Hue to accelerate the implementation of social housing projects, particularly on cleared land, instead of delaying construction phases.

Hue currently has around 21 projects with more than 20,500 housing units, exceeding its target of 12,000 units by 2030. The city benefits from favorable conditions, including well-located land near major transport routes and industrial zones, along with completed infrastructure and selected capable investors.
However, progress remains uneven. In 2026, the city is expected to deliver only about 1,700 units, falling short of the 3,200-unit target.
The Deputy Minister stressed the need for stronger coordination and decisive actions, urging local authorities to intensify efforts in the second half of the year to ensure planned targets are achieved.
