At the site, the Minister examined key interchanges, including IC5 in Can Tho, IC10 in An Giang, and IC12 in Ca Mau. After briefings from project units, he noted that most issues related to land clearance and material supply had been resolved.
Minister Tran Hong Minh stressed that the project’s timely completion now depends on contractors’ execution.
"This is a political mission. All units must fully commit to completing the main route and interchanges before December 19," he emphasized.
The Minister directed the My Thuan Project Management Board to work closely with contractors, promptly addressing any emerging issues and ensuring strict progress control. He requested mobilization of additional personnel and equipment, implementation of extra shifts, and guaranteed material supply, especially aggregates and asphalt concrete.
He also instructed project owners to accelerate inspection and payment procedures to keep up with the disbursement schedule. Contractors meeting progress milestones were encouraged to share manpower and equipment with others to ensure overall completion.
During the visit, Minister Tran Hong Minh met and presented gifts to engineers and workers on-site, encouraging them to maintain determination and dedication to bring the project to completion on time.
