On May 14, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh stated that Vietnam is actively implementing its housing development program, striving to complete 100.000 social housing units within 2025.

At the opening ceremony of the VIETBUILD International Exhibition in Da Nang, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh noted that in the first four months of 2025, Vietnam’s socio-economic situation had shown many positive results, outperforming the same period last year.

The Government and the Prime Minister have issued timely and resolute directions to boost socio-economic development, promote science and technology application, innovation, and digital transformation, especially by addressing and removing obstacles facing businesses to revive and expand production and business activities across sectors.

Particularly notable is the 2025 socio-economic development plan, which sets a growth target of at least 8%, aiming for double-digit growth in the coming years.

At the same time, the country is accelerating efforts to reorganize administrative units at various levels and build a streamlined two-tier local government system. Localities are making strong efforts to implement the project to build one million affordable housing units, with a nationwide goal of completing 100.000 social housing units in 2025 alone.

Regarding public investment disbursement, Deputy Minister Sinh emphasized that strategic infrastructure construction projects are being prioritized, including seaport projects; the Hai Phong - Hanoi - Lao Cai railway; urban rail lines; the North–South high-speed railway; and segments of the eastern North - South Expressway - all contributing to an improved public investment disbursement rate.

According to the Deputy Minister, thanks to consistent, unified, and determined direction from the Government and the Prime Minister, along with proactive participation from ministries, sectors, and localities, Vietnam’s economic and social sectors have witnessed significant positive changes.

"This creates highly favorable conditions and opportunities for enterprises in real estate, architecture, construction, building materials, and interior and exterior decoration to boost production and business activities, thereby contributing to the country’s socio-economic development", he affirmed.

The VIETBUILD Da Nang 2025 International Exhibition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Construction, the Da Nang People’s Committee, the Vietnam Construction Association, the Vietnam Association for Building Materials, and the Vietnam Real Estate Association. The event features nearly 900 booths showcasing new products, advanced technologies, and global brands.
